Sandra R. Cooney, APR, has a total of more than twenty years experience in the marketing, advertising and public relations industry. She has previously owned and operated two full-service agencies and also served as vice president at two Providence agencies, where at one she was responsible for the agency's largest account with an annual budget of more than $3 million. She then served four years as Communications Director for Warwick, the second largest city in RI. During that period, Sandra took a leave of absence to serve as Press Secretary to a gubernatorial campaign.

Prior to the establishment of Sandra Cooney Public Relations, Cooney was president of Gregory/Cooney/Belt, Inc., a full service advertising, marketing and public relations firm that also owned a Sandler Sales Institute sales training franchise. Having earned Accreditation by the Public Relations Society of America, she is one of a very few advertising professionals to also be qualified in public relations. She is a recipient of the prestigious Bell Ringer award presented by the Boston Publicity Club for excellence in public relations, is a creative thinker and outstanding writer. Cooney is a former President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Volunteer Center of Rhode Island.
